Disempowerment isn’t the absence of strength; It’s the ongoing betrayal of your own needs in order to preserve connection.
Power is not domination, rigidity, or withdrawal; Power is having the internal space to know what you need and to organize your life around those desires without overwhelm or rigidity.
Boundaries are how that power becomes yours.
About stacey ramsower
I believe that healing is a creative practice, it requires courage, vulnerability and faith in oneself.
These are often the qualities that my clients are seeking to restore.
People often come to somatic work in the wake of trauma, which can take many forms, from physical violence to attachment wounds. My story - perhaps like yours - is laced with trauma. My story is also threaded with profound reclamation of my power as a person, woman, lover, and mother.
Yours can be too.

se touch SESSIONS
- Somatic Experiencing Touch work is a unique approach to nervous system repatterning that gets beneath the intellectual, analytical habits around healing.
- Touch is one of the most significant (and overlooked) elements of human health, longevity, intimacy, and development. These sessions are especially useful for anyone with pre-verbal, near-death, or surgical traumas. I work with birth and sexual trauma as well.
- In-person (Tucson) only.
My Approach
somatic
“Somatic” means having to do with the body as opposed to the mind. In somatic work, we focus on nervous system repatterning. This work takes place in the body, with the aim of revealing and adjusting existing seeks to change emotional and cognitive patterns. Under most patterns there is a repressed or silenced need or desire. In somatic work, we aim for change not only in the way you think about things, but also in the ways you perceive experiences.
creative
My work is hard to describe, because it isn’t like anything else. I offer somatic coaching that draws from the wisdom, tools, and practices of Somatic Experiencing, Ayurveda, Depth Psychology, the expressive arts, and my experience as a life-long mover, seeker, and learner. Our work will look like conversation, care, guidance, and evocation of your deepest wisdom. Our work will feel like a restoration of vitality, delight, and self-trust.
relational
My teacher used to say, "you know your practice is working if your relationships are getting better." In somatic work, every session is an opportunity to practice being in relationship to ourselves, the body, one another in ways that aren't derailed by hurt, doubt, or fear. Through your practice, you can develop the capacity for the relationships you've always longed for - starting with yourself.

Client Feedback
“One of the lasting impacts of working with Stacey was in my relationship with my daughter. She helped me develop the capacity to actually notice what’s not wrong — to actually take in the moments of connection and joy instead of letting the difficult moments accumulate and overshadow everything else. it had a profound and lasting effect on my experience of motherhood.”
Stefanie
"After a couple of years working with Stacey my relationship to myself is completely different. I'm at home in my body. I have real resilience to meet life's challenges. I'm clear on what I want and what I don't want and I don't feel guilty for my choices. I have more peace and joy than I had any idea was possible.”
Wendy
“Stacey is both fierce and grounded. She doesn’t coddle, but she holds intensity in a way that feels steady and safe. For mothers who want honest, embodied work and a facilitator who will stay with the process until something real shifts, she offers a very strong container.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect from this kind of somatic work?
You can expect to experience yourself, your body, your beliefs, and your emotions differently - free from the burden of other people’s opinions or culturally-imposed shame. You will gain a new and deeper perspective. You may experience a decrease in anxiety and physical pain. If you are chronically in a “freeze” state, or an experience of overwhelm, that will shift. If you commit to doing this work regularly and over time, you may also metabolize (process) grief, rage, and long-standing trauma related to sexuality, belonging, and partnership.
What will our sessions actually look like?
That depends on a lot of factors. You and I will be building a relationship and building trust in one another. We will talk, and as we do so I will be listening and noticing your nervous system: your habits and patterns in speaking about yourself and your body language. Sometimes I will interrupt you and ask you to focus on something not-so-obvious to you. I may cue or invite you to move your body. We will laugh and be human together. So often, the most potent medicine inside somatic practice is just remembering how to be present together.
Are you a therapist?
Nope! I’m a somatic coach, not a licensed therapist. I earned my Masters in Psychology from Meridian University. After graduating, I made the decision to work outside the licensure system. I want to work with you in a way that is defined by us, not by an external entity. My ethical and professional standards are bespoke to my practice - for example, mutual consent, transparent communication, repair when and if needed - and I define my scope of work in a way that is more nuanced than what is possible within the licensure system. I don’t believe it’s a license that makes a practitioner ethical.
